On October 16, 2016, Bro. Joey McIntosh accepted the pastorate at West Race Baptist Church.
He is originally from Dayton, Ohio and attended Tri-State Baptist College in Walls, Mississippi, where he and his wife, Leah, of Cabot, Arkansas, met and each obtained their Bachelors in Christian Education. He and Leah have been married since 2011 and they have two sons, Jonah and Tanner.
Prior to serving at West Race, Bro. Joey served as Pastor of County Line Missionary Baptist Church in Marvell, Arkansas and Associate Pastor of New Horizon Baptist Church in Ward, Arkansas.
Bro. Joey has a special appreciation for bus ministries. He began riding the church bus at the age of 4. Five years later, he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He surrendered to preach at the age of 13 while attending a church camp.
Bro. Steve was given the opportunity to become the youth pastor at West Race in March 2019. Due to the Lord's leading, Steve, his wife of 14 years and 5 children, found themselves relocating to Searcy, AR from Southern Oregon where he served as a children's pastor.
Not being saved as a child and raised serving God as some, he found himself at the end of his rope questioning life and it's value. Ready to give up, the Lord met him where he was and gave him an amazing hope and unfathomable love he never knew existed. Since the Lord saved him he has been dedicated to serving.
He has a passion for sharing the love of Christ with any youth and children that will listen in hopes they can experience the same love and mercy Jesus offers him daily.
Rachel joined the staff at West Race Baptist Church in September of 2018. She grew up in ministry. Making her way from the bottom of the state of Arkansas to North Central Arkansas, Rachel grew up a pastor's daughter and the ministry of serving others through Christ has consumed her life.
She has 5 daughters and has been married to her best friend since May 2008.
Accepting Christ as her Lord and Savior at the age of 9, Rachel has been making a sprint toward growing His kingdom for His glory. In coming to West Race Baptist Church she has found a people willing to serve and help others grow, also with a heart for community, and she is blessed that Christ has pointed their family to a group of like-minded individuals.
